Teether Handle for GentleBottle Self-Holding
3.8$8.99
Babies want to hold their own bottle before their hands are ready. Bare bottles are too wide for small hands, so babies who could be learning to self-feed stay dependent.

Happy With Bottles
I was looking for a safe alternative to glass bottles now that my son is getting older. They are easy to clean and safe for my son to hold on his own. I definitely plan on purchasing a few more.

Hole not large enough, bottle has huge suction issues
Our bottle's nipple hole is not large enough for water to pass through. We have all tried multiple ways of getting water out and it is extremely difficult. Furthermore, any kind of sucking or squeezing of the bottle only creates huge indentations in the bottle as weird air pressure issues inside the bottle begin to cause the lid to leak out of the side of the bottle. Needless to say, this has not been a good purchase and we've already put it in the cupboard likely never to be used again. A real bummer.

Questions parents ask
What age is it made for?
Made for 0 to 6 months.
What comes in the box?
1 teether handle (fits all GentleBottles).
How do I clean it?
Dishwasher safe (top rack).
What is it made of?
100% high-purity food-grade silicone: BPA, PVC, lead, and phthalate free. Designed in Portland, Oregon.
How big is it?
It weighs 2 oz.
Will this work for a breastfed baby?
The GentleBottle system was designed specifically for breastfed babies, with a soft squeezable body and off-center nipple that mimics a natural latch to reduce bottle refusal.
What should I look for in a bottle for a newborn?
A slow, controlled flow and a soft nipple that supports a deep latch. The GentleBottle’s off-center nipple angles toward the palate and paces milk like nursing, and the 4oz size suits early feeds, which is why parents searching for the best bottles for breastfed babies so often land on it.
Are glass or plastic baby bottles better?
Both have trade-offs, which is why we chose a third material. The GentleBottle is 100% food-grade silicone (free of BPA, PVC, lead, and phthalates), so it will not shatter like glass, and the soft body compresses in a baby’s hands like skin. It goes in the dishwasher (top rack) or a steam sterilizer without breaking down.
When should babies stop using bottles, and how do we wean?
Pediatric feeding specialists suggest weaning off the bottle by 12 to 18 months, and gradual works best. The GentleBottle Transitional Set moves from nipple to teether handle to sippy lid on the same familiar bottle, so your baby changes one skill at a time: the sippy lid turns it into a soft-spout cup for the transition from bottle to sippy cup, and open-cup practice can start around 6 months.
How often should I replace bottle nipples?
Inspect nipples monthly and replace roughly every 3 months, or sooner if you see thinning, clouding, or tears.
Is this safe for my baby?
Yes. Olababy feeding products are made from 100% high-purity food-grade silicone with no fillers, free of BPA, PVC, lead, and phthalates, and tested to FDA food-contact standards.
How do I clean and sterilize it?
Silicone products are dishwasher safe (top rack) and can be sterilized in boiling water or a steam sterilizer. Air-dry fully before storing.
What if it does not work for us?
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery (see our return policy for details). US shipping is free on orders over $49.

Why Olababy
Every feeding product is one material, food-grade silicone, soft enough for gums that are still teething and inert enough to go through a dishwasher for years. The panel above names what is in it and what is kept out of it.
Olababy has designed in Portland, Oregon since 2015, with parents testing the things their own children eat from.
